whats up with people buying those ugly scion cars? and worse yet they act like they have a really great car?

i really dont get it. there are a bunch of younger people around here buying them. there is one group in town and they all have scions, its like they have there own little club and have cruises around town. those cars are so boring and ugly i would be ashamed to be seen in one let alone be trying to show off. there just an ugly cheap square box on wheels. my 20 year old rusted out blazer has more class than one of those junk boxes. i notice most of the people buying them are younger males ( early to mid 20s ) and just starting a family. why on earth would anyone want there small children riding in a flimsy piece of junk like that. get in a wreck with a full sized chevy SUV and those people in a scion will be road debris. while the SUV owner will look at the small scratch on his bumper and say no big deal. im not cutting anyone down. but if you have a scion i would be interested to hear why you bought one to begin with. and if you actually feel safe driving it ?

I don't guess I've ever seen one so I'm going to look one up and get back to ya.
Ok. They start at $13,000 and get 37 miles to the gallon. That is probably what the big deal is.

I knew a VERY FAT MAN who bought one this past winter. A VERY VERY FAT MAN. I can't emphasize how fat this man is. I never saw him get in or out of it, but I think he had to use WD40. How is that for insanity?

Scions are cheaper, get better gas mileage ( which is important when you are talking about a finite resource that will only get more expensive as time goes on), they are made by Toyota (even my mechanic father in law who would never be caught dead in anything but GM cars says they are fantastic and told me to buy one), and they are actually pretty safe according to crash tests that have been done, whereas high profile SUVs generally are not safe cars, use lots of gas and now that I have gone foreign, I will never drive a domestic car again.

those people have a good taste.believer or not i have a SUV and i have to spends more than $290+ in gas every month,even thought the scions have a nice sportive look like and is economic car that save a lot of money in your packet.
